New Taihaku pic[]

Credit goes to gamespot, since I took the pic from there.--Gundam Fan 21:07, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

if Taihaku's name means venus[]

if his name means Venus then is it possible that it might have some connections to the fact that Venus is associated with Lucifer because both are refered to as the morning star, any comments Nekroskoma 18:02, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

Doubtful, The World is based off of Celtic and Gaelic Mythology, not Christian Mythology. --CRtwenty 18:41, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
the name Taihaku is japanese no relation (that i know of) to Celtic and Gaelic Mythology Nekroskoma 19:10, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
I never said it was. .hack in general is based off of that mythology. --CRtwenty 19:26, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

All of the Icolo memberes are named after stars. All of their English names are translations of the Japanese names of the stars their named after. The only reason that Taihaku's name was left as-is is due to the fact that Venus is a woman's name in our language. It has nothing to do with any form of mythology. And to be honest, this is the first time I've ever heard someone make any connection between Venus and Lucifer.

Lucifer was the Angel of the Morning Star, the Morning Star = Venus. --CRtwenty 04:55, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Heh. That makes Taihaku's "Fall" via AIDA that much more interesting. --AuraTwilight 18:43, 14 July 2007 (UTC)

Maxwell from Forest of Pain?[]

I saw the Forest of pain episode of .Hack//roots and it shows him using Maxwell during the event. The weapon he gets from
Harald looks way different, yet here it says that weapon was Maxwell. Am I wrong?

I cheaked it out and Anon's right. The wearon he found in the forest looks more like Silid than Maxwell and he did indeed have Maxwell beforehand. I know silid is a broad sword rather than a stream gun, but the forest's sword was rather huge. --Falcon At 23:38, January 17, 2010 (UTC)

Dude, Silad and Maxwell are identical. Maggosh 00:04, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

It could be argued that Silid is bigger, you know, because it's a broasword? Yeah, just a theory.--Falcon At 00:11, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

...Identical in appearance, not in size. Maggosh 00:14, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

Well, in appearance the forest sword looks like neither, but in size, it's comparable to Silid. Bottomline?: It's neither and the information that Maxwell was found in the forest was speculation at best. Thank you Anon, for the insight and thank you Moggosh, for dedicated pointing skills.--Falcon At 00:22, January 18, 2010 (UTC)

Much obliged. Expect your bill in the mail. We accept all major credit cards. Maggosh 00:25, January 18, 2010 (UTC)
