Repth is a useful card due to its ability to prevent wounds (or prevent a PC from being destroyed if it's already wounded). This includes wounds inflicted through battle or by effect, making it practically essential against direct-wound decks. It can also be used in combination with PC effects that require wounding a PC such as Natsume, in which case the PC can be wounded an additional time to activate the effect again (preventing the wound does not prevent the effect).
