Recorder is a unique card as it allows the user to prevent the score pile from being destroyed. This prevents the opponent from using effects that can target the score pile or force the user to choose a score pile monster as a sacrifice. The high Destiny is a big help as well, but it just wastes space when up against a deck that doesn't use such effects.
