Chrono Cores are data needed in order to completely control the Akashic Records. Kite's friends possess them, but the organization Schicksal hopes to obtain them in order to take over The World. They are usually invisible, but according to Metronome, a Chrono Core installed in a PC can be seen and removed while the player's emotional level has reached its peak. Through the Akashic Records they are capable of manipulating The World.
